Roxy Luke

Hey! I am Roxy Luke, a designer and creative currently based in Manchester.I feel passionately about creating informative and conscious design, in the many forms that this takes. While at university, I have developed a keen interest in typography and have recently delved into data visualisation, but I have always loved designing for print. I work across many creative disciplines, from digital design, analogue photography, a variety of printing processes and all the way through to ceramic sculpture. My creative output encompasses both graphic design and my own artistic expression, and I intend to continue on both paths going forward.

This effects their experiences, needs and contributions to society in a variety of fields such as healthcare, education, economics, and politics. The root cause of this is bad data collection. ‘Afterthought’ points out the nonsensical and sometimes dangerous ways that women are affected in their daily lives. The publication uses statistics detailed in the book ‘Invisible Women’ by Caroline Criado-Perez that outline these failures in societal systems. ‘Afterthought’ is A5 size and Risograph printed. Seaweave is a brand identity design for the concept of bandages and wound care made from seaweed, with the aim of reducing the amount of waste produced in the medical industry. Packaging printed on paper made from seaweed.
