‘In the absence of now’ is a booklet centred around a philosophical journey which delves into and critiques contemporary living. On this Journey the reader is challenged to question how much of our lives are spent outside of the present, in this ‘liminal’ state.The booklet includes various manipulated building wireframes which disappear to nothing the further through you get; Typographic visuals revolved around interviews, ideas and music; and a final mindfulness exercise which guides the reader to the present moment. Inspired by personal struggles to remain present, the project delves into the broader societal trend of veering away from the here and now.
