Lauren Banks

Hey, I'm Lauren. During my time at university, I have developed my love for branding and packaging design. I thrive on creating visually captivating designs that make a lasting impact. I do this by illustrating my designs and then bringing them to life with Adobe Illustrator. These past four years for me have been challenging but so enjoyable.
THIS IS THE PLACE I found my passion.
I have created a 12 page brochure for a new Chester Zoo Wayfinding system. I had to think about signage, map, route, pictograms, information, education and audience. I had to take an audit and analyse the current wayfinding of Chester zoo and figure out what needed improving. I then implemented my new wayfinding system by designing a one route scenario.
Hairmony is a hair repurpose company, in which hair salons will receive my packaging to put old hair extensions and hair cut offs into it. Customers will then send it back to my company and I will turn the old hair into wigs for charities, cosmetic brushes, and new hair extensions to buy or salons to sell back in their shops.
Sprout Squad is a plant care kit that comes with a unique twist - each plant comes with a fictional character and story. Customers will receive a care kit accompanied by a beautifully illustrated booklet that tells the plant's whimsical adventures. My target age range is 8 years plus.
